Hey ladies! Sorry if someone posted this earlier, I did a quick scan of the board and don't see anything...and this seemed to important to not mention.
I just started getting our Chicago Tribune delivered on Sundays again for the coupons. Today was the 1st delivery and the front page was a huge article on buried testing that revealed major injury and flaws in many baby seats including the Graco. I think you can view the article at ChicagoTribune.com Basically, testing was done for car safety ratings and so what happened to the car seats and fake babies "didn't count" but results uncovered include seats seperating from the base, harnesses breaking, the baby seat hitting the front seat with force to injure or kill baby and interfere with reading the daddy dummies injuries, etc. Thought you might like to know,.,I hope this means stricter regulations on testing methods for the car seats. I guess right now they just do a sleigh test, which does not have a front seat and not in real cars, that doesn't seem right does it? I also like some suggestions that would have car manufacturers list seats that do well in their cars.
Okay, just wanted to share what information is available, Want to keep DC safe as can be!
