I am JW what your shower theme is?? I need to come up with the theme for my showers and I have no ideas. If you are having more than one shower, are you going with different themes?
We are not having a shower this time because it is baby #2. But I have been to a super-cute shower that the theme was :: wait for it :: baby feet! I know it sounds crazy and not like it would be a decent theme, but it was totally cute! There were baby feet-shaped cupcakes, balloons, invitations, decorations, etc. It was so sweet and really only tolerable because it was BABY feet, not grown man feet. Yuck. But, it did turn out really cute!
Um I think our shower theme is pepto bismol... LOL... everything my sister has picked out for it is PINK... whatever though it's all in good fun with family and friends right.... I've never been to a themed baby shower but I think it would be neat
I am making my shower invites and I really want to have a theme for my showers. Maybe it will be easier once I find out if I am going to have a boy theme or girl theme.
Shouldn''t the people who throw your shower pick your theme and take care of the invites?
I volunteered to make them, I love to make cards, it's just a thing I do that makes it special. I don't know about the theme, my mom has already started asking me about what theme I want, I just figured that I got to choose the theme...
There's not really a theme to mine. My sister and mom asked what colors I prefer, and told them probably the colors of the nursery. So it'll be blue, green, brown and white.
I chose pea in the pod but im thinking of changing it to baby under the sea. I been bugging my mom about the theme and helping out since I don't work I told her I need busy work. LOL?
I think my mom and my sister are just planning on decorating in blue....
It's going to be at a lodge hall...nothing too exciting. Just your typical baby shower with a few basic games, some cold cut sandwich's/snacks and opening presents.
I think my mom is doing an Italy theme for me, with all italian food, etc. I'm not so much into the cutesy baby type themes so I think it will be nice.
My mom isn't into surprises..so she was telling me where it was going to be, when it was going to be and who was going ot be invited.... no theme here either.
Have you picked out your nursery decor yet? I went to a really cute shower the other day where it was all beach and surfboards bc that's the way they had decorated the nursery. We're using the pink paisley pattern in my crib bedding as the inspiration for mine.
I've also seen people use their favorite childhood memories, like the Berenstein Bears or cars.
PS - if you like cards, one "game" that we had at a shower yesterday was everyone got a blank card and envelope with a year on it and decorated a birthday card for every year until the baby turned 18. The hostess brought a bunch of scrapbooking supplies for us to use. It's a special way to remember everyone that was around to support you while pregnant and give the baby something special each year!
Our nursery is classic pooh, so my family who is throwing the shower is having a hundred acre woods themed shower. We are giving honey as gifts and serving honey buns, honeydew melon, etc., etc., to make it look like you are in the hundred acre woods. My mom loves doing that stuff so she's totally in charge. I didn't want the typical baby shower though!
