I keep crying at work...

I've been back to work for 2 weeks now.  I'm an ER nurse and we have been getting a lot of really sick babies in.  It breaks my heart.  It used to bother me a little bit before I had Kendall, but now I'm actually getting tears in my eyes when I see them.  I have to walk away when I hear their cries from being poked for blood or an IV.  I have flashbacks to when Kendall was in the NICU and getting poked constantly because her IV's were going bad every day.

Everytime I get a new patient I pray it's not a baby, I'm not ready for it yet.

I am so sorry. I can't imagine how hard it would be to have your job.I have a lot of respect for you and what you do.

I'm sorry! ?I can't imagine having those flashbacks. ?But I am thankful that there are caring people in the ER like you who actually care so much about kids.

It must be a very difficult thing to do, especially with Kendall's history.  I do hope things get better.  I have a lot of respect for what you do
