Having the flu while pregnant is a cruel joke

A very cruel joke. I have not had a bit of M/S this whole pregnancy and now I get the flu and can't even get off the couch. This sucks! On a good note I have my big U/S on Thursday and I can't wait!!!

I feel your pain.  I had the stomach flu around week 16.  I felt like I was going to die.  Pregnant woman go through so much already it's not fair we get sick on top of it as well.

I'm assuming you are meaning the U/S and yes I get it already. Only because I have a friend that does U/S and she is going to do it for us early. My doc is making us wait until 20 weeks exactly. I'm really excited!

I had the flu in December. I was like... 11 weeks I think. It was brutal. Good Luck and feel better soon!

I feel so bad for you!  Last week DH and I both got the flu.  It was a disaster.  Hope you feel better!!  Drink ice cold water and eat plenty of fruit, it doesn't taste as bad coming back up.

I had the flu at 5 weeks and it was horrible. I've never been so sick except for the time I had chicken pox at 24 and asthma as a little kid. It's true that your immune system is suppressed, it took me 2 weeks to get rid of the flu. And it didn't help that I could only take Tylenol for the fever and plain Robitussin for the cough. Ugh, I hope I don't get sick like that again, it really sucked!
