Max

I love the name Max, but we have a one syllable last name so together they don't sound great.  What longer versions of Max have you heard?

Re: Max

  • Maxwell is the only thing I can think of. I agree that Max with a short 1 syllable last name would sound strange.?

  • I love Max too and agree that it's a hard name to fit with things! I think everyone already listed just about all the long versions of the name. I preferred the name as just 'Max' but found that it was super hard to put middle names with that with our last name. Won't matter though I suppose because DH doesn't like the name. :(
  • Maddox is becoming more popular and that's very similar.  I definitely think that would be a cool name.

  • I'm a little late chiming in on this, but I wanted to let you know that my brother goes by Max and we also have a one syllable last name. It has never seemed weird to people that I know of. But his full name is Maxwell.
