My parents live out of state, so I sent them an email with a picture of a mounds bar and an ultrasound picture in it. Dad got it right away, Mom had to struggle with it for a bit. It was pretty funny to try and talk her through it.
Best responses from that: From my dad: "How big is this baby?" (appearantly the mounds picture I found was an 18 lb bar and he thought that had something to do with it); From my mom: "Oh, I thought DH was making fun of your huge belly already!" A family friend: "Is the baby black? Because mounds are dark chocolate, and almond joys are light..."
So the new family theme song for the moment is "Almond joy's got nuts, baby Cox don't!"

How cute! Congrats again. I want some boys! We are going to get started on boys soon after this baby.
I'm a little biased, but I highly recommend baby boys. LOL
LOL. I recommend them, too!
I am curious- since both of your reveals have been so cute. Do you have a list of creative ideas like this that you made and selected from? We are doing the cake for ourselves. I need a reveal idea for DH's family as well as mine. Help a girl out! Trying to get as many ideas as possible and seeing what would work best for us/them.

*sigh* I wish I was so creative I could have a list... all of "my" ideas come from other girls on the Nest! LOL I've even tried googling ideas and there is nothing out there like the brains of these girls.
These were the only 2 ideas that were 'uber creative' in my mind. I haven't seen many other ones that I like. We plan to have more babies and I think for #3 we will do what you are doing (the cake, but having someone else make it to surprise us as well). #4 is screwed... haha.
One cute idea I saw last pregnancy was a girl who revealed it at her baby shower. They blew up dozens of balloons and made the guests go around stomping on them. One balloon had a note inside that said "It's a girl!" - and that person won a prize. Not sure that would work for your families though... Maybe we should post to 0-6, 6-12 and 12-24 asking them to tell everyone how they did it.

That's a really cute (and involved) idea!
