Mine is Petra and I've always wanted a more common name--it sucks when no one can spell or pronounce my name. I always get the double take as if they didn't hear my name correctly, I say my name again, and then they ask me to spell it...
I guess if I had a common name, I'd want a more unique name... *sigh* can't win..
When I was younger, I wanted to change my name to Danielle. Now that I'm older, I really like my name. My first name is actually 2 words, Mary Francis, I'm named after my grandmothers.
My first and middle names are Amber Leigh...my mom found them from a harlequin (sp) romance novel title. My dad claims he never knew until recently that that is where she saw the names. I think it is embarrassing to be named after a cheesy romance novel so anything but that

My name is Randi, which is normally a nn for Miranda. I'd be pretty happy with having that one. I like my name, I would have just liked another option at some points in my life (like when Austin Powers came out).?

My name is Mary Elizabeth, it was going to be Vanessa. Then my mother had to have an emergency c-section. My dad prayed to Mary the whole time. So while she was knocked out, he decided to change my name to Mary

I don't know what I'd want my name to be, but I can tell you that I've never felt like an Amber. My name just feels so distant from me.
How about Scout? (And I'm kind of not joking...)

Actually I really like my name, so I wouldn't pick differently.
I've been told I look Molly-ish though? Whatever that means
