NPR: Anyone ever had their paypal hacked?

I woke up today to hundreds of dollars of fraudulent charges against my paypal.  wtf?  they are all pending on my bank account now (my backup funding).  What a mess.

Oh no, what a headache! I hope that they are able to sort out this mess quickly. If you protest the charges will they leave your bank account alone until this is sorted out or are you_shit_out of luck for now??

Ugh. You certainly have my sympathies. I would be bawling my eyes out right now if something like that happened to me...?

Good morning! I had this exact same thing happen to me about a month or so ago. Paypal saw that the charges were fraudulent and even though the money did get taken from my account, it was all returned in full within a week. I had about 6 different charges from the hacker! GRRR!! Paypal also gave me a free computerized key code that I need to have with me to log into my account, so in addition to changing my password, I have to put in this electronic code which adds more protection. There is usually a charge for this key code, but they offered it to me for free. Paypal was great to work with after this happened. It's a bummer it happened to you, but I am sure the will rectify it very soon. GL!

never had paypal hacked - but did have my bank and cc accounts. what a PITA for you.
