our pedi said that its OK for us to give DD 2% milk instead of whole and that once she's 18 months we can give her skim milk. She said its something new that they are saying... DD is 40%ile and she didnt have any issue with her getting less fat from milk. Thought that was interesting to share....
Re: interesting... from 1 year doc appt today...
Wow, I've never heard that before. Zachary's pedi said that as long as you're offering healthy fats, there's no need to restrict toddlers' fat intake until at least 2 years old.
How do you feel about what your she said?
I hadnt done any research on milk either so right now I dont have an opinion on it. DD easily transitioned from BM to forumula to whole milk so I am not worried about it in that sense. I just bought a new half gal of whole milk so it will give me a few days to research and see what i come up with.
Whats the benefits of whole milk in the first place? Just for the full fat?
just saw this that goes along with it..
