I am so not girly, I don't even know what brands there are. My nails are usually just clear. I'm boring, I know. Ohh I did get a pedicure a few weeks ago and she used this really dark red/gray/blackish color and I loved it.

The dark purple (almost black) by I think Sally Hansen, it's a square bottle.

I used to like OPI until I learned it contains DBP, which has been shown to cause birth defects. It has been banned in Europe. In the U.S., nail polish companies are not required to list their ingredients. A lot of stores have stopped selling it, but salons still use it.

That's why some nail polishes promote that they're "DBP free."

Now, I use Orly.
