Hi ladies!
I don't normally post here, but I was wondering if anyone had a child that had a potential allergic reaction or maybe just any reaction after getting their DTAP vaccination? Yesterday DS received his DTAP and since then he has had a couple of stools with mucous in it (the mucous looks like the clear - yellow kind that comes out of your nose) and some small streaks of blood in that.
He has a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience, or if you think they aren't likely related?
Re: What is this? An allergic reaction maybe?
DD did have a high fever and loose stools after hers. From what I remember on the fact sheet, loose stools and vomiting were considered "mild" side effects, not allergic reactions. DD didn't have any mucous in her stools though ... but that could even be colon irritation for the frequency/consistency.
Good luck today. The DTaP has been the hardest on DD of all her vax's, by far.
