Fever/MMR

So I posted yesterday about fever, she started wed afternoon 102 ish.  got through wed and yesterday i couldn't take it i brought her in to pedi's office at 7p.m. Everything is clear no ear infection, cold etc cause the MMR she got on feb 16th. I had no idea they can have a delayed reaction.. It sucks fevers i don't know why it bothers me.. she also has a few scattered bumps which is also a connection.. if she is on tylenol or motrin she is fine playing laughing etc..

But please tell me it will go away.. I know the drama w/MMR, i always knew she would get it never had a doubt but then you start thinking will she have a fever forever crazy thoughts.. Please tell experiences w/this anyone?  TIA

  • I have no experience but wanted to say good luck and I hope your DD gets better soon.

  • DS just got the MMR shot on Tuesday.  He hasn't had the fever yet, but I fully expect it next week.  Our nurse was very clear that it is extremely common and she would be more surprised if he didn't get one.  She said that I would probably freak out at first and then remember the shot.  She also said that a few years ago when she started working there she had to get the shot and she got a fever as well seven days later.

I hope that makes you feel a littel better.
