Does your toddler ask to go to bed early?

C wanted to go to bed an hour early last night so I put her down. She went easily and STTN. I thought she would get up earlier but nope. I an shocked, her normal bedtime is 7 and up at 7. 6pm is too early! If she needs it I will go with it but ugh!

DS will "ask" to go early but this is a recent development. Just of the past couple weeks in the evenings when we read books, he'll pull at me to put him on my lap in the rocker and will put his head down and go to sleep. I can carry him up to his crib fully awake, lay him down, and he's out. No fuss. He still gets up at 5am though and sometimes once in the night. We're working on that.

It happens sometimes that DD wants to go upstairs to bed early.  Or even sometimes we won't read but one book and then she says she wants to go to bed.  It doesn't happen all the time, but wouldn't that be nice.

Yes DD will walk up to her crib and pull on her lovies sometimes when she is ready for bed. It can be 6:30 pm and if she's ready to go, she's ready. I love it.

My kids have asked to go to bed early sometimes.  If they didn't nap well or we just had a lot going on.  I think its great that they know when they need the sleep.  Whenever that happens, my kids never get up any earlier than normal.

My DS almost always "asks" to go to bed.  He grabs his teddy bear and stands near the stairs and starts to whine.  If I feel like he is "forgetting" about bedtime, all I have to do is ask him if he wants to go to sleep, and he'll do the same thing.

DS points to the stairs and says "up" when he's ready to go to bed. He also points to the crib sometimes to signal that he's had it with the bedtime stories. Its so cute, and I feel grateful that he likes bedtime!

I wouldn't worry too much about the ealry bedtime, unlsess she's getting up too early in the am.
