I just found out today that my baby girl is allergic to milk. The Dr. said babies will usually outgrow it between 6-12 months but until then I have to cut out all dairy

I know giving her breastmilk is best but the selfish part of me is really upset I have to give up all of my favorite foods. What am I going to eat?? I eat some form of dairy in almost every meal. Anyone else have to give up all dairy??
Re: Anyone's baby allergic to milk?
We found out DD was allergic to Milk when she was about 2 mos old. I gave up all dairy... don't eat anything containing casein, whey or any ingredient derived from milk! Don't get me wrong... it is HARD, but after about a week of this DD was a completely different baby!! She was eating better, sleeping better, and just happier all around. To me this makes it all worth it!
I have been dairy free for 5 months now. After month 2 it started to get so much easier and now I am completely used to it. I have lost a TON of weight (I went from a size 12 to a size 6!!) and I actually feel more energetic and healthy!
