Preston leaks through 6 nights out of the week. I just don't get it. He hasn't done it for months and months and then all of a sudden started. I bought the next size up in Overrnight Diapers (size 6), but that doesn't seem to work. I had some leftover diaper doublers so I use those with the size 5 Overnight diapers and he leaks through those too. I have even bought big maxi pads (slit the bottom so the liquid could get through) and put them in the 6 size Overnight diapers, but he is still leaking. I just don't know what to do anymore. He has his last drinks at dinner (6:00) and a sip while brushing his teeth, but that is is. His bedtime is 8:00, so he has plenty of time to go potty before bed.
Any suggestions?

Re: How do you prevent your 2yr old from "leaking through" at night?
Hi!
Are you pointing the winky down still? Other than that, I'm not sure because the Overnights should be enough. J drinks a lot and has a water in his crib too and we rarely have leakage.
Me with my littlest.
No. Are they comfortable? "plastic" just sounds really uncomfortable, kwim?
LMAO! Yes, I am. As far down as it will go anyway.

He is probably drinking around 20oz of fluids a day (sometimes more, sometimes less).
I change both kids before I go to sleep.
If I don't, they will leak through.
Emilia gets a new diaper at 11 and Miles gets one at around 12am.
Nothing has helped and they both drink a ton all day..which is probably not going to change.
I put them over her diaper at night and she has no problem and seems pretty comfortable in them.
Well, they are actually less "plastic" than what is in disposable diapers and most of them are very soft. You can get cheapo nylon ones at any big box store, but what most cloth diaper moms use are only available online. That said, I doubt they will help you as they do not add absorbancy and nothing can hold liquid that's just running free inside, ya know?
Another option from the cloth diaper world is fleece soakers - basically a diaper cover out of fleece. They are not waterproof, but the fleece distributes the wetness so he wouldn't be making a wet spot on the sheets. You can try out the concept with a pair of fleece pants.
I have put him in fleece and come to think of it, he feels "less" wet when he has fleece on then when he has plain old cotton on. I think your on to something here....lol.
Thank you all for the suggestions!
