I've been converted to the Lansinoh pump and purchased it today instead of getting the Medela like everyone else I know. I know Medela makes pump and save bags that attach directly to the pump, so you don't have to transfer from the bottle into bags. Does anyone know if you can repurpose these bags to use with the Lansinoh? I saw that Lansinoh/Ameda has a bag that you can pump into, but it looks like a twist tie instead of a zip seal, and that freaks me out a bit.
Also, where is the best place to get extra parts for the pump? I know several of you recommended having at least 2 extra sets, but BRU doesn't sell them in my area.
Any other tips/thoughts about this pump? I only work 2 days a week, so will be trying to get my freezer stash up during my 12 week leave, then pumping those 2 days. Thanks for any help!!
Re: 3rd trier w questions about Lansinoh pump
It's been a while since I've seen one of the Medela bags, but I seem to recall that it just had a little sticky tab that allowed it to attach to the pump parts. It was nothing magical, and although I've never seen a Lansinoh pump, I can't imagine it would be that much different from a Medela pump that the bags wouldn't work with it.
Anyway, I never liked the idea of pumping directly into storage bags -- I balanced the bottles on my legs so that I could do breast compressions or work on my laptop or whatever, and that wouldn't work with storage bags. So I always just pumped into bottles and transferred to storage bags. Then it doesn't matter what kind of pump and what kind of bag you use
I believe the Lansinoh pump is actually a rebranded Ameda Purely Yours, so look for parts for that and you should be golden. I wouldn't stress too much about it, though; I only had one set of pump parts and did fine.

I have the Ameda Purely Yours which is the same thing as the Lansinoh. I pump into bottles (you can get ameda or lansinoh brand storage bottles. I also use this storage system and the bottles fit as well: https://www.mothersmilkmate.com/products.htm
Fridge milk stays in the bottles. Frozen milk goes into the Lansinoh storage bags. This is a pretty easy system so far although I don't pump much.

I only pump into the bottles. Then I transfer it to a bigger bottle or a freezer bag. I bought extra lansinoh pump parts from their website. There's a few other websites that sell their parts too, all about the same price.
Ditto the others...bottles are MUCH easier to pump into, especially as I usually just used fresh milk rather than frozen. Pouring into bags to freeze is definitely not a big deal, and using bottles is a much cheaper option in the long run.
I ordered extra parts online...I know Amazon and diapers.com carry them.
