What Is Your Response to Unwanted PG Advice?

I hate unwarranted advice. If I didn't ask for your opinion re: a personal choice, then it must be because I have done my research and made the best educated decision I can for ME. My mom gave me the best response ever for the unwanted advice as soon as they start in on what you should eat, shouldn't expose yourself to, shouldn't do to soon, or sould have done a long time ago....

 "Did you know that an armadillo can prolong labor for up to three years?" Smile and walk away. I thought that was pretty good.

I just let them say what they want to say and then politely say, "thanks, but I have a trusted physican whom I take my advice from."

I just give the nod and smile, but that's me. if it's something out of line though then that's totally different and i WILL go apesh*t on your a**. i love your moms idea and may have to use that in the future.

I just nod and smile as well. Then I go home and complain to H. But I mostly get advice from family or really close friends so I try not to be rude if I can help it.

I used to say "Unless you've gone to school and gotten your M.D. in the last 30 seconds, I think I'll just follow what my doctor says, thanks".

I love your moms response!  I usually just say, "Yeah, I've already talked to my doctor about everything, thanks."
