bad frozen milk?

DS got a bottle of frozen milk from back in early Jan this morning.  Daycare called and said he was pulling off the bottle and crying.  She thought he had gas and asked me to come down and give him some gripe water (daycare is here in my building at work).  I just spoke to them and they said he was still really gassy and kept waking up from his nap.  Could it be the frozen milk? He was fine this morning when I dropped him off.

Re: bad frozen milk?

  • I doubt it. I bet he's just having an off day. DS is on frozen milk everyday thats a little over a month old without a problem.

  • I've used milk older than this, it's probably an off day.  Good luck!

How do you store milk? Im asking for my SIL. She is going going back to work soon and said her freezer is on overload with bottles. Can she put the milk in ziploc bags or such and defrost on a daily basis as opposed to per bottle basis. Hope this makes sense.

  • I store in it breast milk storage bags (sort of like ziploc) that I bought at Babies R Us.  I save them in different ounces so I just pull out what I need.
  • Your SIL should not store in ziploc. Get the ones made for BM.
