Since we like to post menus, how about posting your favorite cookbooks?
My current favorites:
Cooking Light Superfast Suppers: Speedy Solutions for Dinner Dilemmas
Weight Watchers Quick Italian Favorites
The Best 30-Minute Recipe by Cooks Illustrated
Re: Cookbook recommendations
Any Cooks Illustrated or America's Test Kitchen
Any Barefoot Contessa - Barefoot Contessa at Home is prob my fave, but I haven't made anything from her new one yet.
I've gotten good recipes out of the Weight Watcher's cookbooks in the checkout line at the grocery store as well.
I can't remember the exact name, but I have a Cooking LIght one that's a big binder (I think I got it at Target)
The Better HOmes and Gardens newleywed cookbok has a lot of good basics
I get a lot of recipes from Southern Living too
Hands down, my absolute favorite is:
The Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking by Marcella Hazan
It is my kitchen bible and I couldn't live without it.
I also really like my Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child
but it's not so great if you need to make something quick.
I like the little Martha Steward Everyday Food magazines, Southern Living, Tee Time at the Masters (both of them) and I have an old church cookbook that has a lot of good ol'home cooking recipes in it.
On a side note, I don't like any of the Rachel Ray 30 minute cookbooks. I think they are so hard to follow b/c all the recipes are like a conversation instead of instructions.
