What laundry soap for DC's clothes?

I just ran out of the giant unscented laundry detergent bottle I bought for DD's clothes before she was born (I know, it lasted a YEAR!).  I'm going to try her next load with regular scented stuff, but I'm wondering if I should just stick to the unscented one.  She does have mild eczema on occasion.  Hopefully doing one load with regular stuff won't cause a big flare up!  Do you still use "free and clear" detergent for your LO?

  • i still use it..but on occassion have had to use tide and just run an extra rinse cycle

  • We're still using Dreft.

  • We actually used Dreft for a long time.  I received a ton of samples from my aunt and some from a shower.  Well, Ds has excema and around 9 months or so developed an allergy to the Dreft.  I just thought it was his excema, but switched to a Free and Clear detergent when we swtiched to cloth diapers.  POOF! The excema disappeared overnight after his clothes had been washed in the Free and Clear stuff.  I am not changing.
  • I use Seventh Generation's baby detergent.  I've also used their regular detergent on his stuff.  In addition to no perfumes/dyes, etc., it's also better for the environment.
  • We use purex free and clear or crunchyclean for all of our laundry at this point...

If your child has eczema you should definitely try to avoid detergents w/ enzymes in it.

  • I use whatever is on sale. If possible I select the free and clear kind, but it doesn't really seem to matter.

  • We use Charlie's Laundry Soap for everything - it's great for cloth diapers, and DS tends to have eczema, so it works well for his clothes, too.

  • I use Tide, the smelly kind with downy in it. Have since DS was about a month old, I wash his clothes with ours.
  • We use all free & clear.  There are several different brands that have a free & clear option.  Has worked fine and DS does have sensitive skin.
  • We have completely switched to Tide--even the scented ones.  DS doesn't seem to have any skin sensitivity thus far though, so personally, if he did, I would keep the Dreft or whatever.

  • We switch back and forth between All free and clear and the regular All, we have never had any problems
  • DD has eczema (on/off) and I've been using regular detergent for her (same as us). I use free and clear softener though, and our regular detergent doesn't smell very strong at all. She's been just fine since I started doing that.

  • I'm trying to use up the end of the free and clear because I can't stand it.  We wash DD's diapers in regular so I don't think she has any issues with it, so we will be moving her over to that.
