2nd Trimester

Whats in your wardrobe?

Mostly mat. tops and pants, mat pants but pre-pg tops, or tops and pants pre-pg?

I know there are a lot of recent 2nd triers, so those that are not showing yet I assume you are still in pre-pg stuff.  What about you 20 week + ladies??

I have been wearing mat pants since about 14 weeks with pre-pg tops but I am at the point where it is a serious struggle to find something to wear to work everyday. Time to go mat top shopping for me! I held out as long as I could....

Re: Whats in your wardrobe?

  • I haven';t bought anything maternity (yet) but my girlfriend just passed on three pairs of maternnity pants to me this week and I wear a lot of empire waist shirts that I bought right after Christmas.  Mostly though since I work from home, I live in my yoga pants from kohls :)

  • I'm in maternity bottoms.  About half my shirts are maternity.  I can't use my non-maternity button up shirts anymore.  They stretch too much around the belly.
  • All maternity pants, a mix of prepregnancy and maternity tops, and prepregnancy dresses. I still haven't popped, but I guess in the next few weeks I will and will have to switch over to all maternity.
  • I'm in maternity bottoms for the most part. i could probably still do some regular pants with a bella band, but there are much more comfy. I have some maternity tops, but I can still wear a lot of my pre pregnancy shirts too. Some of them are getting snug though especially in the chest.

  • I'm in all mat pants, and am still getting by with a few tops I bought a size up.  But today is the first day I'm wearing an obvious maternity top at work.  I"m feeling self concious, but damn I'm comfortable.

Edit to add, I bought larger regular shirts on clearance mostly b/c they were a heck of a lot cheaper than actual mat. tops.

  • I have cleaned out my closet/dresser of all prepreg. clothes. I'm a small person and have been wearing mat. pants for a while now. I've gotten a ton of clothes from friends so i haven't had to buy much.

  • I was in maternity before I came to 2nd tri.

I have four pairs of pants, one pair of jeans, and maybe ten different tops or so. Plus some sweaters I can still sort of wear. I need more pants though. Those that I have seriously suck.

  • A mix of mat pants and pre-pg pants with a bella band, and mostly all maternity tops.  I can still pull off a few pre-pg shirts but the issue is mostly covering the tops of my pants or my bella band.

I have a whole box of cute dresses and warmer weather clothes from when I was pg with DS that I put in storage (everything is in storage since we sold our house and our new house will be finished in a few weeks) and I'm wishing I had those out since its going to be nearly 90 today!  I just didn't think I would need them in Feb!

  • I've been wearing mat bottoms and yoga pants exclusively sinces about 13 weeks - I still can wear long, tunic style pre-preg, tops - I just pulled out my old mat tops...   I got really pissed off yesterday when my only mat. jeans fell apart - I went shopping, bought 2 pairs of AWESOME regular jeans (Miss Me and Esprit) in 2 sizes large and low rise.  They were only $30 each on sale, and I couldn't resist!  They fit right now comfortable and look great - I'll have a little more wear out of them with a bella band and then I'll have something to wear after baby gets here - Yippee!
  • I'm in a mix of maternity pants and DH's jeans.  Lucky for me he's not to tall!

I'm mostly still in pre-preg tops, but I wear a bella band almost all the time because the shirts are getting shorter as my boobs grow even more.

I'm so p*ssed i can't fit in the empire waist shirts that aren't maternity.  my boobs are just to damn big.  Its always been my dream to be able to wear those shirts and look pregnant, when I actually AM pregnant.

  • today is my first day wearing all maternity- most of my pre-preg tops are becoming too short and ride up and show my belly or the bella band~ so i threw in the towel and bought some yesterday after my doc appt! i am so much more comfortable!  i had been wearing yoga pants to work for the past 3 weeks!

i am still mixing some longer t's that are pre-preg but have completely moved to maternity pants (my bella band is annoying and rolls)~ i got the majority of my clothes from motherhood which was a lot cheaper than the other brands (like pea in the pod)~ i am gonna go back for some super cute stuff i saw that was pea in the pod (but waiting til spring's warmer weather)

i bought a few cardigans to layer with the short sleeved t's to get me thru til march! (yay which is right around the corner!) and a lot of the pants that i got where transitional and can be changed to capri's later for spring and summer!

  • I have two pairs of maternity jeans, three pairs of maternity slacks, and a couple other pairs of pants that I wear with both maternity and pre-pregnancy tops (just depends how long they are). I have four pairs of yoga-type capris that I wear with more formal tops to dress them up and two pairs of leggings that I wear with dresses (that are not maternity but fit and are cute anyway!). I just try to be creative, but I do often wear the same things over and over.

  • Today is my first day to wear maternity pants...LOVE them. I can still fit into my pre-pg jeans but these are way more comfy and I wanted a comfy day. I can't fit into most of my pre-pg shirts thanks to my chest. (I went from a D to a DDD). So I bought a few more non-maternity but more room shirts. I'm wearing a mixture of those, t-shirts and yesterday I wore my first maternity shirt.

  • This past weekend, I had to go maternity clothes shopping. I can't wear any of my pre-pg pants or shorts. A few pre-pg skirts still fit, and a fair number of pre-pg shirts, but even those are getting fewer...

  • i've been in mat pants since about 15 weeks. I can still manage to do some of my regular jeans with my bella band, but its a huge pain and i find my mat pants way more comfy.

shirts are a different story....my regular shirts are too short but mat shirts are still like tents on me. I have like 3 or 4 bigger, longer shirts that I wear constantly. Well, I just have to hold out til next month when my cousin is giving me her whole maternity wardrobe-trying not to buy anything til then!

  • I wear all mat clothes now.  I have been pretty much in all mat for the past few weeks.  At home I can still wear non-mat track pants and sweatshirts but that is it.  I wear boxers and DH's t-shirts to bed.

I have 5 pairs of mat pants: black, brown, khaki, gray, and brownish cords.  I have 2 pairs of mat jeans but one pair is on it's way out...the back panel is good but the front button fly is getting tight!

I have a bunch of tops because I hate wearing the same things all the time.

  • I'm in %100 mat clothes. My boobs have gotten so huge that reg shirts don't fit.?
  • I've been in mat. pants since 14 weeks, too, but I finally broke down about 2 weeks ago to buy some mat. tops....now I'm finding that very soon I'm going to have to buy more of both...it's like it's never-ending.  But I want to hold out as long as possible since I'm going to have to buy even more stuff when the weather gets warm.
  • I am only wearing mat pants.  I can still wear a few pre pg shirts, but am close to being out of them. I wear some mat shirts, but need more if I am going to wear them exclusively.

  • Mostly pre-pg clothes, but I've bought a few regular shirts to hide the "stomach shiftings".  I'm still not showing, and I'm thankful b/c most mat shirts don't fit me in the boob area and my bump is too small to do mat pants.
  • I'm kind of in between maternity and pre-pg clothes at the moment. But since maternity clothes are SO darn comfortable, that's what I mostly wear, especially to work.
  • I'm in all maternity pants. I have some maternity shirts, but they still seem a little big. I mainly wear my regular tops that are stretchy and long enough to cover the belly.
  • I started wearing maternity clothes at 17 weeks.  I have four pairs of work pants, one pair of jeans, one casual skirt, one work appropriate skirt, one casual dress, and one work appropriate dress.  I also have a bunch of shirts that I got on sale at Gap online.

So far, I'm only wearing maternity bottoms.  The tops are still way too big on me, but my pre-pregnancy shirts are starting to get a bit short, so I have to be selective in what I put on!  I think the pants I own now will get me through the whole pregnancy -- 4 pairs is plenty to rotate.  I can't wait for it to get warmer -- I'm really hoping to wear a lot of skirts and dresses this summer!!  (too bad the a/c always makes it freezing in my office!)
