but for those people who said they could never accept it if their child married someone of another race, are you also the people who give my family the side eye when we're out in public? Because, yeah, I've got thoughts for you too.
And, I'll continue living my life happy in my mixed race marriage, but my heart breaks a little that there is some possibility my kids could ever fall in love & have to deal with inlwas as judgmental as you. Seriously. Life is about a hell of a lot more than your race & out of all the factors that I can think of that determine the happiness of my family, that one isn't even in my thought process.
Re: I'm taking this wayyyyy too personally
I wasn't in that camp and I am kind of amazed anyone was given how it was worded... but I do know someone who would probably not accept it, and I can still understand her reasons even if I can't empathise. She's a small minority case though, I can't imagine anyone on here has reasons like hers.
But hey it is a big country. There are bound to be some jerks hiding somewhere and online is a good enough place to hide for them. Don't worry - I'm sure such people won't breed kids who are any different so you won't need to worry about your kids ILs :-)?
belle - bubbly's scandalous poll maybe a page or so back from earlier this evening.
Seriously, even knowing that people here feel that way makes me want to throw up.
Found it. Well, you all know I'm trying to have J. Timberlake's baby so I've got nothing but love for "intermingling." Love me some peanut butter babies.
edit: I didn't mean to go off on a tangent. I agree with you.
