We got Paige's ear pierced for her first birthday!  She did WONDERFUL!  She has never bothered them - they are just part of her.  The only time she really wants to touch them is when we change them.  Then she wants to feel but has never pulled one out!  It is really your decision!  You know your child best!  Paige is super laid back!  So she didn't even care.  If I had a more uptight hyperactive child then I probably would not have done it at a year!

Thanks so much.  I think I am going to get it done this weekend.  Sophie is also really laid back so I don't think she would pull at them at all. I think I will probably be the one crying and not her. lol

BTW, your lil Paige is just adorable!

GOOD LUCK!  Post and let us know how it goes.  Do you know where you are having them done?!  I went to the pedi's office because I thought they would be most gentle with Paige. They were!  But they totally screwed up one earring and got it way too close to her head so we had to take it out and have it redone some other place!  UGH!  I was soooo pissed!  So I suggest Claire's or some place like that - that does it all the time.  And my best advice would be to hold her head tight so she doesn't have a chance to jerk away. 

Thanks for the compliment!  We think she is pretty adorable too :-)
