so sick I literally thought I was dying

I thought I had the flu, so I went to bed early, put dh in charge of the baby. Four days later, I realize this is not just the flu. Turns out I had a bacterial infection that wasn't going to get better without meds. I couldn't sip water without getting sick. It was like the flu plus food poisoning plus a migraine.

The good part: if you call urgent care here, there is a doctor at your house within 2 hours (he came here on Sunday afternoon) and it's covered by insurance.

The bad part: since dh was in charge of baby (and apartment) for 5 whole days, I have a LOT of catchup cleaning to do.

 Sorry for the whining. I feel like I survived some kind of 5-day South American torture test.

Yuck!  I also had a bacterial infection last week that I thought was the flu ... ended up in the ER super dehydrated after passing out.  No fun.  It REALLY whips you!  I'm glad you're on the mend and hope you're feeling 100% soon!

OMG  you poor gal! That sounds awful. Glad you're feeling better now! Don't worry about the house - it'll still be there. Take your time!

Dobie-glad you're okay now too. I was worried about becoming dehydrated b/c I couldn't drink anything. Somehow some sips of gatorade made it into my blood.

Notice that I'm not cleaning the house now?

Glad you are feeling better.  I had the flu last week and it was terrible.  It was so much easier to be sick pre baby.  Thank god for a great husband who took on full baby duty!
