Re: On the subject of crockpots......

  • pork chops, a big bag of froz stir fry mix.  one bottle of sweet and sour sauce diluted w/ abou 1/2 c of water dumped over top.

low 8 hrs. or high 4 hrs.

    serve over rice.  so good!

  • I put boneless skinless chicken breasts in there and cover them with BBQ sauce. After a few hours, I shred the chicken with a couple of forks and let it hang out in the sauce for a little bit. It makes the best pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches, and it's only two ingredients.

  • I LOVE "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Recipes".  It has some really great and not-stews/soups recipes.
  • I just made pot roast last night...YUM!

4lb chuck roast, 3 potatos, 1 celery stalk, 1 onion, 3 carrots,1 pack of onion soup mix, 1 cup water.

Salt & pepper roast then brown on all sides.  Add all ingredients to slow cooker and cook on low/med for 8-9 hours.

  • Chicken Stroganoff

4 frozen skinless, boneless chix breasts (they have to be frozen or they get dried out)

1 16oz tub of sour cream

1 package of lipton dry onion mix

1 package of sliced mushrooms or small portabellas

1 can of cream of mushroom soup

Spray inside of pot with pam. Put down chicken breasts first. Mix all of the other ingredients together and pour on top. Put on low heat 6-8 hours.

I also make egg noodles and pour the chicken/sauce on top of those.

Super easy - it's actually a weight watchers recipe (you just use fat free ingredients)
