Keeping them out of the trash can???

Hey ladies. Mikey has discovered that if he opens the lid to the trash can he can not only pull the "fun" stuff out that happened to be hiding from him but he can also throw stuff back in, i.e. his toys! LOL

This is the kind of can we have, hopefully someone has a suggestion besides remove the can:

We have a simplehuman one where you have to step on the bottom for the top to open and it seems to keep Reese out.

Do you have a pantry you could put it in, or if all else fails, maybe buy a smaller one and put it under the sink

We have those cabinets that are designed for trash cans so they are easily hidden. Although DS does know where the cans are. We put an elastic band around the knob on days when he will not leave that cabinet alone.

I find the ones with lids help but lately that isn't working as well, now I am on occasion putting them outside.
