If you got one (or two) for your babies, which one did you get? Did you bring them to the hospital to have their prints put in it? If you didn't do one or either of these, why not? I am trying to figure out if I am going to do this.
HAHAHAHA!!!!!! Thank God I don't have baby books; I would feel so badly that I never do anything to them. My NICU was great; they kept a "scrapbook" for us while we were there, but that was only 2 weeks. After the trio came home I took a LOT of pictures; I wouldn't remember anything without them. Nowadays I'm taking 600-700 a month. Thank God (again!) for digital cameras. I do keep all their special keepsakes in a tote in the attic, because I don't have a book to put it all in, but eventually I will have the time to so through it all and sort it out. The other thing that really helps me to not only remember what went on 2 weeks ago that I've already forgotten, but also to share and keep people up-to-date, is blog. I have a website for family with pictures and cute stories that we started when my oldest DD was born so that's a lot of fun to look back on and see what was going on when. Around September I started another blog, this one more for me, to vent and tell stories where my friends, and where I could be more "myself" with my stories, and not have to be PG rated for ILs and such (ILs don't even know about it). I love blogging; it's like therapy and memories all online. Someday I'd like to put them on a CD or DVD or whatever and make a copy for each of the kids.
I found ones online called "twice in a lifetime" that are specific for twins. They give you 2 books so each baby will have their own but it has alot of similar entries about the pregnancy, etc. I really like them and glad I ordered them.
We bought two baby books from Target, I think they were made by Carter's. I wanted to do these for my girls, because I still enjoy taking my baby book out my mom put together for me and looking at everything. We bought two since my girls are two seperate babies and they each will have their own unique life and one day they will want to look at what their own early years were like. I did take them to the hospital, they put in the footprints, but did not add the handprints. My nurse told me that every time they try the hands the babies make a fist and smudge the whole thing up. I also used the quiet time in the hospital to update all of their new info from birth.
