Or party starts at 1:00pm. We're having appetizers (veggie tray, pizza bites, hummus and pita), sandwiches and pasta/potato salad. There are a couple other things, but that's all I can think of without actually looking at my list.
The party started at 12pm so I served both appetizer's and a meal. We had spinach dip with a veggie tray and taco dip with chips. The meal was catered and we served Italian beef, mostaccoli, and salad.
We did jambalaya and appetizers, since we were having it at our house and it was all adults besides DD. My goal was to not spend the day in the kitchen and not to have a million dishes afterward, it worked out perfectly
Sandwich platters, fruit, cheese, macaroni salad, potato salad. Our party started at noon so I skipped the appetizers and just served lunch right away. For a 2pm party, I would probably have put out a bunch of appetizers to let people sample. Most people would have eaten lunch by then, so I'd just put out enough that people could eat a little or a lot and be satisfied.

Appetizers, caesar salad, lasange, sandwiches, chips and cake...of course. Our party started at 1:30 and people came hungry. I wouldn't just have apps....
The party's 12-3pm, so lunchtime. I'm going to make prosciutto, provolone, pesto subs; Italian salad; white bean dip with veggies and crackers; and marinara meatballs.
We are having a construction theme and will be have a brown bag lunch theme. So a sandwich bar, chips/gold fish crackers, fruit salad and probably a potato salad and pop. Our party will start at 1.

Oh, and cake and ice cream, obviously.
At 2:00 you so not need to do a meal. Ours was at 3pm and we did finger foods as well. We did:
Veggies & Dip, Cheese & Crackers, Fruit tray, Artichoke dip w/ pita chips, cupcakes for the little ones and cake for the adults.
