bella bands

ladies i wanted to see your recommendation on the bella band or any other type of band that will help wear my pre-pregnancy jeans without having to zip them up.  right now i'm using a rubber band, & i'm guessing that in about 2 weeks it won't do anymore.

Re: bella bands

  • i used a rubber band and safety pin until i couldnt anymore and caved in and bought actual pg jeans. all my maternity clothes were from old navy - very affordable and comfy

  • i used the motherhood rand bella band, they worked pretty well!  however, Old Navy mternity is awesome.  I would hit up their online sale section and got my entire mat wardrobe for less than 50 bucks.  They have SUPER sales on there!!
  • i ordered the bella band online i forget where, somewhere that was having a sale. i barely used it. maybe for a few weeks, but i could have easily just started wearing maternity pants then.
  • ok thanks ladies.  i'm going to use the rubber band till the end and see what i do from there.
  • I used it, but more on "work" pants than jeans.  I thought it was too obvious with jeans - so i did the rubber band thing with jeans and used the bella band with pants.  But I started wearing maternity pants early - they were a bit big, but so much more comfy than tight pants!!

  • I used the cheaper version Tummy Sleeve from Motherhood Maternity.  I wore it a lot.

If you put it on upside down and inside out, then pull your pants on over it.  Fold the top half of the bella band down over top of your pants.  That will help keep it from sliding around.  You can also use it to keep big maternity pants up and use it post partum on your regular pants.
