Long time ago people made a spinoff board, there was a big falling out (think west side story only with bottles on one side, babywearers on the other) (please read with sense of humor LOL)
Said board was mostly a bunch of friends & people were voted on or off. Really, that's about it. Mountains out of molehills on both sides. Fun was had by all. etc etc etc

Best explanation. Ever. Funny - people were really voted on or off?? Crazy!
This is my perspective and I wonder if any other old timers remember it the same way. Not quite 3 years ago, this board was super fast moving but it was also super snarky. We had the same old debates day after day and it was pretty intense a lot of the time. There was a group of women who decided The Nest was a really mean place and they needed to break away to start an "invitation only" private board. Most of them were moms of toddlers and most of us who stayed behind were moms of infants at that time.
Ever since the "break-up," this board has become really supportive, friendly and even the occasional debate is mostly respectful. I've always thought it was odd that once the women who whined about how mean the Nest is finally left, it actually became a much friendlier place. I have no guess as to an explanation. Anyone?
Re: Afraid to ask... but have to
