Hopefully after a week or so the new skills will lose their sense of novelty. My DS is playing in his crib as I type. Looks like no nap today! I will give him a half hour and he best choose to sleep!!
I feel your pain on this one. Once our Maddie started crawling, I thought life as I knew it was over. It took a couple weeks, but she finally got the hang of sitting back down in the crib and then laying herself down. She also became a stomach sleeper. She soothe herself easier now which is a nice bonus from that icky time period. Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon!
