Our New Years goal was to have sex 5 times a day for a weeks starting on new Years day and apparently a baby resulted from that! Plus we only lasted one day with that drunken promise to each other ( that's a lot of work)

That's a huge goal! I don't know if we could've done that for even one day.

Our goal for January was to have sex every 3 days, so there would always be some viable sperm swimming around. There was one week when we only had sex once, but our method seemed to have worked.

We had 2 days we KNOW we just had to conceive.

With Our orig EDD (pre-u/s), we were convinced it was a Top Hat, Cigar Smoking Baby who sings Auld Lang Syne... but now its clearly the other day which may sound weird but that morning.. I said to myself. Holy Shiit would if I get pregnant. (((which clearly I should start reading some palms)))

Maybe the lil guy(s) will hang in there extra long and pop out on Halloween. hahaha.

on a similar note, i read somewhere that 10/5 is the most popular day in the u.s. to give birth. which means conception was approx new years eve/day. so maybe we're all just a bunch of drunks.

See, I dont get that. I have read that somewhere too, and it makes no sense! My LMP was December 26 with an estimated ovulation date of Jan 9 and I'm due Oct 2. If someone is due 3 days later than I am, then their conception date would be around January 12, not December 31. I think whoever wrote that needs a lecture in the difference between LMP and when the baby is actually conceived. As it is, I doubt many of those with an EDD of Oct 5 got their freak on New Year's Eve, if you know what I mean... eeewwwww

Ha! I'm due Oct. 12th and I think we got pregnant right around Inauguration! I'm in DC so we had 4 days off and the celebratory mood must have helped!

Lol, I was thinking it was a crazy popular month when I saw the number of replies to your Oct check-in post.

Given that we were tttc for nearly a year and this little guy/girl was conceived via IUI, I can't say it was a complete shocker (though a wonderful suprise that it finally worked!). But i love the irony that I know to the minute when we conceived in the dr.'s office mid-jan but because of the whole backdate by 2 weeks to your last period it makes it seem (to anyone not knowlegeable) that it was New Year's Eve oops or something.

Yeah, January is a popular month to get pregnant, Especially in our family, I'm Due October 21st and my Sister-in-law is due October 26th.. how weird is that!?!
