When did you stop giving DC puree food?

Are you doing all finger food or a mix?

Re: When did you stop giving DC puree food?

  • around 7-8 months old he had completely lost interest and we went to complete table foods at that point.

  • We were still doing some purees until about a week ago when DS absolutely refused to let us feed him with a spoon!
  • We are still giving her some purees. ?Trying to finish them off (still have like 15 jars) and she still likes them. ?It is hard though b/c I am trying to introduce more solid veggies now. ?She was slow to eat solids (and I guess I have been slow to push them). ?No shame (I hope) in DD still eating them. ?

p.s. Frenchy your DD is sooo cute!?

  • I started both my dd's on solids at 6 months. DD1 was still on purees until almost 18 months. DD2, was off purees by 9 months.?
  • Around 9 months.  I made my own so the purees just got chunkier until they were small soft foods. I had loads of frozen cubes saved up but that stage didn't last long.

And by 12 months everything became a finger food.  Even yogurt.  She does great.  Messy but great.  I use a spoon for practice but that usually gets messy, too.

My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.
  • We tried chunkier food at about 9.5 mos. and she refused. ?So we tried table foods and she loved it. ?When we went back to stage 2 just to see, she?completely?refused it.
  • By 10 months we were only using purees for convenience.  He loves to eat and does great with table food!
  • She just started eating table food a few weeks ago and wouldn't eat purees again. I'd say around 11 months.
  • Between 9 and 10 months he was off purees completely, he started refusing it all- even applesauce b/c he wanted to feed himself.  Now we have just started applesauce by letting him feed himself with a spoon.
  • 9 mo.  DD was a gagger - but refused to be fed.  At the prompting of our pedi, I tried and she loved it.  Oddly enough she has not gagged (except on applesauce) since switching!
