First U/S appt today! Heard H/B! 8w, 5d

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking on the boards for awhile and just wanted to be sure everything was all good until I posted. Good it is! My hubby and I went for our first u/s today and saw our beautiful baby! I can't believe there is actually something in there. We could see the heartbeat and then the technician let us hear it. 160 bpm! They did an abdominal ultrasound (I thought we would need a trans-vaginal, but no) and we were able to see our little lovebug immediately.

It was an amazing feeling and the heartbeat has to be the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my life. I am so excited!!! We are keeping this baby. This is my first child and I just couldn't be more overjoyed. We are planning on telling our families starting next week (10 wks). No one knows yet - I feel so much better now telling everyone.
