Any ladies choose an IUD?

I have my 6wk pp appt this thursday and my OB wants to know what bc I want to use...  I'm considering an IUD b/c I HATE the pill but she said they can't implant until 8wks pp....  what did you do for bc for two weeks?  DH can't wait to get busy and I must say I'm looking forward to it too.  I am just scared of another "suprise" so close to the birth of this one!!

LOL!  Thanks for your honesty!  THIS is what I am afraid of.  We aren't used ot that so I'm afraid we'll forget too...

I got the mirena about 10 weeks pp. We used condoms in between, which sucked, but it is better than another baby!

I have the Paraguard and got it about a month ago and have had no issues so far. Its so nice not to be on hormonal BC or have to be on the pill.

I was going to get mirena then I read that there is a small chance that it could become dislodged when you use tampons b/c the string from the IUD hangs down a bit. That freaked me out and we decided to get my tubed tied.

I am getting my IUD tomorrow, and I am 6 wks pp.  My ob didn't say anything about 8 weeks, and my cousin's wife had her IUD put in at 6 wks pp.  Weird... Oh well!    I will let you know how it goes though.

I got the Mirena 8 weeks pp...we pulled and prayed too.  We only had sex twice in those 8 weeks.  So far, I love the IUD and have had no problems!
