I'm pretty sure it is viral (just in one eye, not really goupy, just ichcy, watery, red and swollen). My ds does not have it (knock on wood), but one of his little friends just got over it.
Anyway, can the dr. give me anything to help with the symptoms or do I just have to wait for it to get better? I left a message with a nurse, but thought you ladies would know.
TIA
Re: I think I have pink eye. Can the doctor help?
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
Antibiotics will only help if its bacterial. There's nothing they can do if its viral. However, doctors will generally give eye drops since patients want to leave with something in hand. Once a person starts antibiotics, there's no way to know if it was the meds or time that made a difference.
My foster son, the day care provider, and me all had pink eye. FS and I did not see a doctor. DCP did and got eye drops. They all cleared up about the same time. I would wait. Theres no point in taking antibiotiocs if time is all it needs. GL!
That is what I was thinking. How long did it take to clear up?
