Okay, I like this board the best, so I'm posting here first. I'm at 34.5 weeks and yesterday afternoon noticed that, in addition to the belly bump, there is now a hard-ish bump under the waistline of my pants. Is that a head or shoulders or something? Is that what the doc meant when he said "the baby descends"? Does this warrant a call in to the doc? I have an appointment Tuesday, so can this wait?

I'm guessing that the kiddo might have dropped and it could be body part that poking you there but if that's the case - there's nothing to worry about. Some woman drop right before going into labor, some weeks and weeks before. I think I dropped around 36 weeks but I was induced at 41+ weeks. So 5 weeks after dropping and still no labor. Definitely not something to worry about.
But it does mean that the kiddo is getting into position and ready to come out - you're into the home stretch!
lol I had my bag packed super early. ?I had this feeling. ?I begged dh to pack his....needless to say I had to wait around while in labor for him to shower and pack, super fun.?
