Rash after 12 month vaccinations?

So my son had his 12 month vaccinations on February 11th.  He is getting a mild rash on his forehead and neck/chest area.  The rash is not blistery, just smooth small red spots.  I think that it might have to do with the MMR or chicken pox vaccine.  Have any of your babies developed a rash after vaccinations?

TIA!

Re: Rash after 12 month vaccinations?

  • When my daughter got the MMR at her 15-month appt 2 weeks ago, the pedi said she might develop a slight rash/fever within 5-7 days after her shot.  He said it would be on her chest.  She didn't get one so I can't speak from experience though....

  • We didn't do MMR yet, but we just did Chicken Pox about a month ago and they said, if there was going to be a reaction from that, it would likely start at the injection site.

I know you can develop CP from the vax, so I wanted to make sure I knew what to look for since I have a 9mo old who, obviously, isn't immune.  She never had any reaction, but I kept checking at the injection site just to make sure.

  • DS has a red, blistery looking rash on his face this weekend. He had his 12 month appt on Feb 9th and got Hep A & B but no MMR or chicken pox.
