Because my hips and lower back are killing me whenever I lay down. I was under the assumption that the back issues wouldn't happen until I was further along. Guess I was wrong. Am I the only one?
I haven't had many symptoms this far... except for my back and hips.... and my doctor said it's normal for some people. I can't stand from a sitting position without help, God save me when I get further along!! The only things helping me that my doctor recommended are the IcyHot patches, tylenol, and massages.

I've had some back pain too. Have you bought a snoogle to sleep with? It has helped me a lot. Also, I find that if I work out too much, the back pain increases. Hope you feel better.
My effing back killed the entire first tri, and the pain actually just let up in the past week or so. I think the baby moved now that I am *slightly* bigger so the pressure is no longer on my sciatic nerve.
I had to switch to sleeping on the couch so I had more support, laying up against the back of the couch with another pillow under my hip. I hope you start feeling better soon though!
Oh you are not alone. I tossed and turned all night. For the past week at 8pm I get bad indigestion (despite not eating) so with trying to not throw up, the back and hip pain, peeing every 2-3 hours, and along with trying to figure out where to lay my bump so it is comfortable I too have not been sleeping well.
