Should I go smaller or bigger with wool?

My son is 27 lbs, but growing fast. I'm ordering the Disana wool soaker. Should I get the medium that says it goes up to 32 lbs or the large which says it works for 31 lbs-38 lbs???

Also, is the wool wash bar fine for washing these (I'm looking at the one listed on Abbyslane) and the Lanolin Wool spray that she carries as well??? Do I need anything else????
