baby powder

What's the deal? Can we use it or not? I have dr appt on Monday so I'll ask then, but just curious. I feel like it might be nice on his little bum after a bath...

Re: baby powder

  • A nurse told me once that if I was going to use it to put it on my hand and then pat it on carefully so the powder doesn't float through the air for DC to inhale.  I rarely use it, but if I do, that is what I do.

  • I think you can, but if I were to use it, I would look for something corn starch based, not talc- based.  I am also a paraben and phthalates freak, so I would look for one without these ingredients.  I am sure it's perfectly safe, especially if you dump it into your hands and rub your hands together to apply (the concern is it getting in the lungs).

  • LOVE that pic of bubba!
  • We were told not to use baby powder at all for fear DS would inhale talc. HTH
  • I use corn starch every night after his bath...he's a heavy wetter at night, so it helps to keep him a little dry.
