goodwill, or no?

I'm doing some Friday night de-cluttering (what an exciting life!) and can't decide what to do with some of the stuff.

I have a huge pile of dish towels, washcloths, bath towels, sheets, and pillowcases that NEVER get used. I was just going to take it all to Goodwill but I just know there are some creative things I could do with them. I am planning on making some flannel sheets into a dog bed cover for our new dog (get her tomorrow, yay!).

But I'm afraid that if I take the rest down to my sewing area without a plan for them, they'll end up just sitting there instead of the closet.

Any great (and easy) projects I could plan? Or should I just take it all to Goodwill?

Animal shelters LOVE getting donations of blankets and towels!

Human shelters do too! That's what we did when we sorted through all that stuff.
