Plus size gals - anyone try Old Navy maternity clothes?

I usually fit in ON shirts so I thought I might try a few of the maternity tops...was just wondering if anyone else tried them out. I looked at one of the stores that carried maternity and they only went to xl instead of xxl so I was just curious.

And where the heck are you getting your pants? My normal pants aren't really fitting that great anymore, but all of the maternity pants don't work out so well for me - mostly cause my thighs are big - I have had issues with pants forever! Any advice is helpful! Thanks!

  • I haven't tried old navy.

I did get my jeans from motherhood and they are super stretchy and really comfy.

  • ON does go to xxl in Maternity.

  • I've gotten my jeans (size 16) at Target and my dress pants at JC Penney (but not every JC Penney has a good selection). I, too have always had a problem getting my thighs to fit and these have worked. GL!
  • I am running in to the same problem. ?I did buy some tops from Old Navy. ?Dont get the XXL unless that is what you wear already. ?I usually wear XL and bought some of the XXL and they were just way to big. ?Gap Maternity has some nice tops too. ?You can buy from both websites at the same time. ?I am having a really hard time with jeans. ?I am a size 18/20 depending on the style and no matter where you go, the sizes are 1x, 2x, 3x. ?Those are so limiting and dont work for me. ?I am heading to Motherhood Plus this weekend to try on some of their pants but I am not holding out much hope. ?I simply dont understand why the stores who already make plus sizes dont have regular number sizes for their maternity clothes. ?I HATE the 1x, 2x, 3x crap sizes. ?Anyway, I will let you know how my trying on stuff goes at Motherhood. ?

PS. ?I went to a regular Motherhood store and they had some great summery tops on clearance. ?XL is the highest they go but some were really nice.?

I wear a 20 as well and I just ordered pants from JC Penney and got them last night. I swear the legs on them were made for someone a size 6. I need to go and try Motherhood as well...good luck to you!

  • I think I had the best luck at JC Penneys.  I ordered them online since my local store has no selection.  I ordered pants when I had a coupon for free shipping.  I ordered about 8 pairs - different sizes and styles, tried them all on kept about half and returned the rest to the store to save on shipping.  It worked out well.
  • I was wearing a size 20 before I got pregnant.  I have one pair of Old Navy maternity pants that fit well (I ordered 2, exact same size, one fit one was WAY too tight!).  My other pants are from motherhood maternity, I can do a 1X there, and then I just ordered some from JC Penny, they don't have plus size in store but they do online.  It is SO frustrating to find plus size maternity clothing!!!!!!!!!!  Next time I get pregnant I want to start out A LOT smaller!!!!

This is why I ordered from Lane Bryant.? Their website has maternity clothes.? When you can catch them on sale, they are good.? However, I ordered my pre-pregnancy size and they just feel huge to me, even at 20 weeks.? I think the thighs may even be too large.?

    ?

I love Lane Bryant but they only have sizes in maternity up to 16. ?I dont understand that.
