Our neighbors must HATE us

DH put a bird feeder in the backyard b/c DD loved all the birds in the Costco food area eating hot dog buns (silly reason, don't ask).

Right now there are, no joke, 40 pigeons in our back yard. If something spooks them, they scatter onto all of the neighbors' houses, then come back to eat.

I guess the good news is that DD loves watching the pigeons.

My aunt and uncle lived next to a couple that had multiple bird feeders all over their yard. My A & U's cars were constantly covered in bird poop. They were pissed. So it's possible that your neighbors may hate you for a different reason!
