Gimme some snack storage container ideas

What do you guys do for taking snacks out?  Just use normal small rubbermaid containers.  Some of the reviews on diaper.com for the flip up containers are pretty poor.

Re: Gimme some snack storage container ideas

  • I actually went to the Disney store and they have a ton of snack containers. I bought 3 in the shape of Mickey for $1.99. They are great to toss in the diaper bag!

  • Sometimes I use the Ziploc containers that have the screw-on lid.  Other times I use the Gerber bowls that have the plastic snap on lid.  For now, that's all that I have been using, so I may not be much help.
  • I found that the divided formula contianers that I no longer needed for formula are really usefull for small snacks like the puffs, yogurt melts and cherios.
  • I use the Boon snack ball, First Years Take and Toss snack cups or Munchkin nesting bowls and they all work perfectly fine. Ziploc bags are also great in a pinch and take up a lot less room in my diaper bag.

  • We also use the Take and Toss snack cups.  They work great, but if I am running out of room in his diaper bag I just use a ziploc bag.

  • Cowgal -- Just had to tell you that I love your formula container idea! I tried it with Cheerios, Teddy Grahams and DS's fave crackers and it works great. Very practical. How did I not thinking of this earlier??

  • Call me crazy but I have four breast pump milk bottles that work perfectly. They hold a few snacks worth of cheerios, goldfish or puffs and they don't take up much space in the diaper bag. If you pumped, pull them out!
  • like the pp, i've been using my formula container with the dividers. i put cheerios and puff and oatmeal/rice cereal as well. good for when we are out or traveling so i dont have to put his oatmeal in a sep container.

     HTH!

  • Most of time I actually just use a snack size zip lock bag. They are easy enough to use, and I can always toss them afterwards. I know it's not so eco friendly, but it works for us.
  • the small tupperware containers..and I never thought of the formula cup either...that is a great idea!

  • I use a stackable snack holder called Packin' Smart. (www.packinsmart.com). It was a gift from my mom and we use it all the time. It has five small compartments that stack on top of each other, so I can take up to five different kinds of snacks. I usually only take 2-3 compartments and it fits nicely in my purse or diaper bag.?

That's what I use 95% of the time. I've also have the Take & Toss snack cups and the Munchkin bowls with lids, which I tend to use if we have to take more substantial food for a meal or whatever. ?
