I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but we have this crib at both grandparents' houses. It's very basic, safe and quite inexpensive, and has a slide down side. It is a convertible though.
Technically it's a convertible crib, but not like the ones that go from crib to toddler to full-size with stationary sides. I don't plan on converting it, but it does have a drop-side:
