I was traveling this summer and people kept telling me I should have bought DS a seat because it would have been 1/2 price because he's an infant. ?I didn't know that so now I'm looking for seats for our next trip and I can't find an airline that discounts infant seats domestically. ?Does anyone know which airlines I should be looking at? ?Thanks.
Re: What airline does 1/2 price for infant seat?
no clue. My mom did mention that to me too when we traveled internationally. I think that "back in the day" that was done.. but now that $ is way too important to the airlines and they are trying to fill every single seat available, I think it's pretty much unheard of. To them, a seat is a seat and they want the money for that seat!
What you can do is hope for an empty seat and bring the carseat w/ you. If you do that and they have a free seat, they're required to give it to the baby.

From what I have seen it really isn't half price. It is half price fare of a certain price code but full price fees so it is sometimes is not even a discount. We had this problem when we flew internationally with DD as we had to pay fees for her even though she didn't get a seat. I looked into the price of a seat for her and it was almost the price of an adult seat.
