so my sick 4 y.o. sister woke up and i told her we had to run to the store to buy her medicine. and she said "no, i want to go buy mom a present" (it is our mom's birthday tomorrow and i had told her before she got sick that i would take her to pick something out for her) and this made me tear up just thinking that as sick as she is.. she still wants to get my mom something... just when i was thinking that this parenting thing would be way tooo over whelming.. i see how rewarding it can be!! so i promised her that if her fever went down i would take her. Children can be sooo sweet.

Aww. If she's stuck on getting mom a present, get her meds at the same time? Kill 2 birds with one stone. Unless she's sick enuf that she cant really move. Then I say she's just SOL. GL with the practice parenting!
