Hi everyone-
A friend from another board I am on referred me to your group, she said you are an amazing group of ladies and from the posts I read it seems to be true. My DH and I found out that we are expecting identical twins that are mono/di and we are shocked and excited. I'm looking for any advice that you ladies can give me. Here is a brief history on me:
DH and I have been ttc for almost 7 years. In this time we have suffered 4 m/c at 9 weeks, 6.5 weeks, 7 weeks, and 7 weeks respectively. My last m/c was just in November. My 3rd and 4th m/c were karatyped and were normal male (46xy). All of my pregnancies were naturally conceived but in between we had 3 failed IVF's and 3 failed FETs. We have no explanation for my losses, but have found an OB who is willing to think outside of the box and with this pregnancy I am on baby aspirin, Levoxyl (I have thyroid disease), Metformin, Lovenox, and Endometruim. I am currently 8w 3 days and the furthest along I have ever been. My progesterone is low at only 14.9 so I am very worried about that. My progesterone was tested in 2 of my previous pregnancies and was very low. I am also seeing a Peri.
Any advice you ladies can provide to help me keep sane would be appreciated! Thanks!
Re: New here expecting identical twins
Wow that's quite a history! ?You must be so anxious to get through this pregnancy! ?I don't have experience with losses or IVF, but just wanted to congratulate you on your identicals, wish you a happy and healthy 9 months (7 or 8 to go!!), and let you know any question you have is welcome here, and will be treated respectfully. ?

Congratulations on your twins and welcome to the board.
I had two miscarriages before I had my girls, and they tested me and found that I have low progesterone, but mine is historically much much lower than yours (6 or 7), I was told that anything over 10 is fine and that anything over 15 was great, so I wouldn't worry to much about the progesterone. I was on drugs including prometrium to increase my progesterone with my twins. I'm now 6 weeks pregnant again and in the midst of the heart-wrenching fear of another miscarriage again. I'm on baby asprin and prometrium again this pregnancy too, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. What I've learned is that there is no real way to stay sane through this, but I figure that the best I can do is froce myself to be positive as much as possible. But even after just two miscarriages, when my twins were born, one of the immediate overwhelming feelings was relief that I hadn't miscarried, I hadn't realized that I had that weight still on my shoulders until it was gone. I truly wish you all the best of luck.
you've been through so much...and i hope that this pregnancy gives you happy, healthy, children! i'll keep you in my prayers. ?welcome to the board. ?i have no advice as far as medications...(i did injectibles and IUI and my progesterone was always over 40 when they took my blood). i have a friend who used oil progesterone injections and they seem to have worked for her. ?i think the peri is a good start. ?welcome again! i'm glad you're here with us!!!

Congrats and good luck! I had two very early m/c (about 4.5 weeks). My OB thought it could have been low progesterone. I started taking prometrium and I really think that's what got us through that first few months. As you know must know this is such a tough time. Keep positive thoughts.
Sending you happy vibes.
