Does anyone else's DC refuse to wear a bib at mealtimes?
If I put Zachary in a velcro bib, he rips it off. If I put him in a bib that just pulls over his head, he throws a fit until we get it off of him. This means that I usually end up changing his shirt after every meal... which means we do a lot of laundry!
Any suggestions? I've been looking for a bib that snaps instead of attaches with velcro, but I haven't been able to find one.

When the bib ripping started I said "no bib, no food" and I would take her plate away. ?(yes I'm a hard azz about some things). ?
So now when she attempts to rip off her bib I ask her if she's finished eating. ?Usually she shakes her head no and stops pulling at her bib.
I'm sure this won't last, but for now it's working. ??
DS has never gone more than 5 minutes in his life without a bib. These are our favs because they have a lining that keeps the liquids from leaking through. They snap. You can get them at kohls or carters.
Holden uses this one. It is the only one he doesn't rip off and plus it works so well for catching his mess. I really like it, It has kind of a large button in the back if that make sense, and it's so easy to clean. This is a link for a 2 pack at Walmart...this is a way better price than I payed for 1!

My two just started doing this. My DS did it first just because he could and my DD saw what he was doing and copied him (silly mimicking babies!). My DS is a little houdini and gets out of every bib we've tried. My DD knows how to take her shirt off and my DS is now copying her. usually they don't get too far with their shirts though.
We tell them to leave their bibs on so they can eat. Most of the time they listen, sometimes we have to occupy them with singing or focusing on food to get them to leave the bib alone. Lately though it's a losing battle...they just get messy and we do more laundry. Sorry...no real advice, just sympathy!
